You are entitled to ‘flu (influenza) vaccination on the NHS if you fall in one of these categories.
· Aged 2 or 3 years
· Over 65 years old
· In any of the high risk groups or conditions below:
· Respiratory disease
· Neurological disease
· Chronic liver disease
· Heart disease
· Kidney disease
· Patients who are carers
The flu vaccination is very safe and also very effective; you may get some discomfort where the vaccine was injected. Some people get a slight temperature and aching muscles for a couple of days after being vaccinated. It is safe to have the flu jab if you are taking other medications and it is not true that you can get flu from the flu jab.
If there is someone you rely on to care for you who is not registered with this Practice we recommend they contact their own GP for a free flu jab
To book an appointment for your ‘flu vaccination please call the practice on 020 783 7333 (Ampthill) 020 7388 4474 (RPP)
